Free Social Programs: My Personal Experience

When I was a program director in a low-income neighborhood, our community center had a number of free programs for the residents, and their families. These included summer camp, an ice cream social, a barbecue, art class, bingo, games, exercise class, movie night, and holiday events. The programs were geared toward all ages, and families. It was great to see families being able to enjoy themselves with different activities and events, and often learn and bond in the process.

Hopefully you can benefit from this information, and you and your family can enjoy all kinds of free activities and events at your local recreation centers, parks, libraries, and cultural centers.
